This department is responsible for developing bespoke fabric designs that cater to global luxury fashion houses. From concept sketches to digital simulations and final production specs, every pattern, texture, and weave structure is meticulously crafted to reflect elegance, performance, and heritage.
Design Studio
Turning imagination into loom-ready design
The Design Studio is the creative hub where ideas take shape. Our designers and sketch artists build stories through trend research, mood boards, color palettes, and hand-drawn sketches. Graphic specialists then translate the artwork into precise CAD/Jacquard files, repeats, and multiple colorways for suiting, upholstery, shawls, and scarves.
Owning the look and language of every collection, the studio defines motifs, scale, and placement and prepares complete tech packs and specifications. Working closely with R&D, the team ensures each concept remains true to the original vision while moving smoothly through sampling and approval—delivering designs that carry the distinctive identity of Sadiq Textiles.
Research & Development
Where luxury begins - from fiber to finish
R&D transforms design intent into high-performing, manufacturable textiles. The team selects fibers and yarns, determines blends, counts, and twist levels, and specifies weave structures and constructions to achieve the required hand, drape, and durability. They plan dyeing and finishing routes, develop prototypes on pilot looms, and run lab dips and finish trials.
R&D's role is to validate feasibility, optimize materials and processes, and scale recipes and machine settings for production. Through rigorous testing—shade continuity, color fastness, shrinkage, pilling, and tensile strength—R&D ensures consistency, efficiency, and compliance, so every fabric delivers on both beauty and performance.
